Am I suitable for Bioenterics intragastric balloon

I am currently 78-80 kg and would like to and need to lose weight. I am 5ft 2 inches tall and suffer from high blood pressure for which I take relevant medication. Would I be suitable for this intragastric balloon? I have tried many diets but each time I fail to lose weight. I also suffer from depression. Thank you in advance.< Previous:In case of leakage

Dear Karen, Excuse me for dealy. Thank You for Your interest about gastric balloon. Intragastric balloon is intended for people with BMI over 33. The insertion of gastric balloon is an outpatient procedure, the procedure itself takes about 20-30 minutes under analgesia, and about 2-4 hours of a rest after. The first step during the insertion is examination of the stomach with gastroskope. If the result is OK, the balloon is then inserted and filled under gastroscopic control. The balloon is inserted for the period of six months, it is necessary to take it out then. The procedure is equal to the insertion, it means one-day procedure again. In this moment I can offer you two types of balloon , Bioenterics Intrabastric Balloon (BIB) filled with a saline solution or Heliosphere filled with an air. We have more experience with the BIB system, from my point of view the air-filled system is better for active people We don‘t use the third - adjustable system , it is more invasive and we are afraid of possible complications at the portsite. The price for this procedures together , it means insertion and extraction is 1200,- Euro for BIB ballon and 1300,- Euro for Heliosphere ballon To decide about this procedure i have to know same data from your medical history: What is Your BMI? Have you any upper abdomen surgery before? Have you had any stomach desease before? Have you inflamatory bowel desease in your medical filles ? Have you any other illness? Please, send me an answer. After the insertion of the baloon a stomach discomfort or nausea or vomiting is observed for several days.
