Discussion - Modern Advances in Lower Eyelid Surgery or How to Get Rid of the Bags and Circles!
Page:1
I am only two weeks out of upper and lower lid surgery. From the afternoon of surgery I felt major discomfort on the exterior of my left eyelid. I mentioned this to the surgeon. I understand that it does take a while to heal, the swelling has gone down considerably but the lower lids continue to hang out from the eye ball giving a type of emaciated look. Also my left eye has a facet running. After two weeks I was most concerned that while the swelling has gone down, the lower lids are unchanged as far as being pulled away from the eyeball. I am fearful that this is NOT normal. Any advice is appreciated

Procedure
Eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty)Blepharoplasty is performed when the eye lid droops or in case of creation of fatty bags under the eyes. Mostly it is a procedure performed under local anesthesia and both eye lids can be operated at the same time, the upper and lower. The extra skin, fat prolapses and sometimes also part of muscle are removed. Blood bruises and swellings often occur, they fade away within 6 months.
Upper eyelid surgery, upper blepharoplasty
Lower blepharoplasty, lower eyelid surgery
Eyelid surgery recovery, blepharoplasty recovery
