Procedure

A cartilage and even bony part of nose is shaped. The nose is fixed with plaster splint for 7-14 days after the treatment. There is a tamponade in the nostrils to prevent bleeding. It is necessary to stay at the hospital for 1 day. In the post-surgical period there are visible frequent swellings and blood bruises of the face.

Dear Morgan, nose surgery itself has a low vital risk, which mostly depends on the type of anesthesia which is apllied. From the technical point of view it is definitely one of the most demanding procedures for a cosmetic surgeon, but also one of the most challenging operations. In other words, outcome of a nose job depends mostly on the experience and eye for a detail of the cosmetic surgeon. To avoid the unneccessary risk of general anesthesia, Dr Toncic performs the nose surgery in most cases in local anesthesia under sedation and not in general anesthesia. Good evening Morgan. I don´t know the situation in Costa Rica but why don´t you to get a nose job in Czech republic, in Prague? I think its cheap enough and our surgeons are excellent. It is certainly safe. You can choose your surgeon yourself. Click on the procedures, then nose job and under the article about the nose job you can see the list of plastic surgeons. Good luck.
