Specialist training is held at the so called accredited workplaces. These are some clinics of plastic surgery in Czech and Moravian hospitals. Depending on medical equipment, number of physicians after attestation, number of beds etc., the hospitals are classified to four types.
There are two accredited workplaces type I in the Czech Republic: Clinic of plastic Surgery of the Teaching Hospital Kralovske Vinohrady Prague and Clinic of plastic and esthetic surgery of the Teaching Hospital Brno.
Every plastic surgeon in the training has to work at one of them at least one year of specialized practice.

4-year practice – specialist training at the accredited workplace

It is possible to pass one year of the total number in another specialized surgical field of URL, head surgery or 6 months at the department of anesthesiology, gynecology and childbirth or pathology.

Postgraduate education is divided to three degrees: ST1-ST2 – the selected candidates proceed further to ST3-ST6, followed by ST7-ST8, only after that they are qualified to pass the final examination.
