Since I was teenager I was thinking of breast plastic surgery. I did not get too many centimeters from the nature concerning my height as well as my chest. It was the opposite in case of my buttocks. My whole life I have suffered from asymmetric figure. I have camouflaged it with high heels to become at least optically taller and I wore of course bra pads, which I had made even custom-made. Due to my disproportion I could not gain weight on any part of my body so I got used to constant self-control, diets and exercises, without that the appearance of skinny and tiny figure could hardly retain.

Before the surgery

Now I am 27 years old a finally I have realized my dream. Although without the trust of the surgeon I could never find the courage to undertake this procedure. The key moment was the consultation with the plastic surgeon Roman Kufa in his office at Perfect Clinic at Malvazinky in Prague. He won for me at the time when he uniquely set a suitable, high quality type of a breast implant from a company McGhan, round with low profile, although he did not want to tell a precise size at that moment. He marked only the range from 200 to 250ml, he will choose which volume fits the best to my body only during the actual surgery. We have agreed that the final result should look absolutely natural. I appreciate such creative attitude because it respects natural look, the same as I do in my job as a hair-dresser when new hair-style is being created with my hands.

During a pleasant half an hour consultation I have also found out that in practice there are silicon implants in the shape of teardrop or round implants with low or high profile, their usage is decided by the wish of the patient corrected  with the personal concept and taste of the surgeon. I have longed for a full breasts and the choice finally fell on the round shape of implant with low profile that is inserted under the muscle, which covers sufficiently the implant. In my case it was not enough to cover it under the mammary gland because the change from the chest to the breast would not be smooth, on contrary clearly visible.

The choice of an implant

Because my areolas are big enough, the surgeon will lead the entry incision on their low boarder, small scars will then be hidden in the pigmentation and there will be no visible marks after the procedure. In case of big breasts, the implant would have to be inserted either in the infra-mammary fold or in the armpit. Not even the shape of teardrop could be used because it would be destroyed by squeezing it through small opening in the breast areola; then one of the two ways could come into consideration. I was not considering the teardrop shape because it would not fill my neckline sufficiently.

Before I said good-bye even my fears of possible future breast-feeding fade away because the mammary gland will stay untouched. I have learned all the possible, throughout soluble risks, such as bleeding into the wound, capsular contracture (a capsule in the implant) and infection; I did not put too much attention to them. Preventively, according to following infection I will go through the surgery, like plastic surgeon Kufa says, under the cover of antibiotics.

I left the office absolutely calm and without any taste of fear. My mood didn’t change not even on the “D-day”. With a smile on my face and impatient I opened the door to the Clinic at Malvazinky at 3p.m. and my happiness wasn’t damaged even by empty stomach. Because it is a procedure under general anesthesia I could not eat since morning and I stopped drinking around lunch time. Since then everything went really fast. I filled in my receiving papers and I gave my documents from preoperational examination to a cute nurse. I had barely time to arrange my personal things in the room and the nurse gave me the hospital shirt and with appeased commentary that there is nothing to fear of, she took me to the surgical room.

The surgery

Then I remember only few minutes, as I stand as a mermaid in front of the surgical table and the surgeon draws on my breasts their new appearance. I lay on the bed, I look into the smiling eyes of the anesthesiologist that is leaning over me and wishes me good night. Clap and my eyes closed.

I woke up approximately after an hour directly at the surgical room and I was immediately possessed with fear from pain. What a nice surprise it was when no sharp pain occurred. I just felt a pressure on the breasts for several hours and uncomfortable squeeze of the chest, like when you can’t breathe in completely. I thought of that the dentist and gynecologist are worse than this. I had no problems when getting from the bed at night neither the feeling of sore back muscles, I was happy from the moment when I turned out the compresses in secret and I saw the dreamed curve between the breasts. When the surgeon took off the drainage tubes from the wound for the rest of the blood to aspirate, I looked through my new chest thoroughly. And even though the breasts were still very swollen, the look was worth it. The symmetry was achieved.

I went home the second day with the breasts of a bra size 75 B, although before I could wear the tempting sexy lingerie, I had to wait another month with a hygienic type of a bra. To prevent the implants from moving and to help them heal the right way it was necessary to fix the breasts with special, tight and binding model, which the producer calls the right name a bandage. The truth is that it is not very fashion matter but till the breasts heal there is no other way than to stand to be captured in such “sexy vest” for thirty days and nights. On the other hand it was a quite good shield because the sensitivity of my breasts not only broke off, it even multiplied.

During next two weeks I went for two check-ups to the clinic, when the surgeon Kufa removed stepwise the fixation tapes, finally he permitted the breast showering and he advised me scar massaging and evaluated the process of healing. He was satisfied so as me. From smaller size one I have almost size three. I said bye only for another fifteen years because the breast implants are not unfortunately for the whole life.

I remember that  three days after the surgery I went already among people and no one from my friends didn’t recognize at first glance what exactly has been changed with me. They did so after closer examination. Even a week after this my colleagues complimented the way I look, but nobody stared at my chest and I heard no commentary like: “Oh, you have your breasts done?” It was because they simply look like mine. And so they are.
