Liposuction costs
On this page we list liposuction prices from a variety of plastic surgeons. Please keep the following points in mind when calculating your costs. When speaking with a potential liposuction surgeon about costs, be sure to clarify what is included in the price you have been given.
- How many areas will be operated on? Liposuction costs vary greatly based on if you’ll have liposuction only on your stomach, for example, or your stomach and buttocks, etc.
- What type of liposuction technique will you have? Tumescent, ultrasound, vibration?
- What type of anesthesia will you need – local or general? Tumescent is usually local, while ultrasound and vibration liposuction require general anesthesia. General anesthesia requires an anesthesiologist be present during the procedure and that can add a lot of money to your costs.
- How many days will you be hospitalized?
- Depending on the country you have your surgery in; surgeon’s fees will vary greatly. That doesn’t automatically mean cheaper is worse/expensive is best, but it is based on the overall cost of living in a particular country. For the most part, there is no correlation between price and quality when comparing surgeons from different countries.
- What’s the consultation fee?
- Don’t forget to add in your travel, transport and accommodation costs
