What is Silicon oil?

The treatment
The doctor uses a thin needle to apply silicon oil into the subcutaneous tissue. Sensitive places, like the lips, are first desensitized. After the treatment, the skin is reddish and swollen. However, this disappears by the next day. Encapsulation occurs after about six weeks and another treatment can be performed. Sometimes three treatments are necessary to achieve the optimum result.
Results
The effect of silicon oil cannot be seen immediately after the treatment. As the body forms new connective tissue around the oil drops, it takes about five to six weeks for the final result to appear. The silicon oil remains soft to the touch and young firmness is returned, especially to the lips. The effect is visible for two to five years, and sometimes even longer.
