Ear piercing with piercing gunOnly special earrings made out of surgical steel are pierced with piercing guns. They can be replaced after the earlobe is healed. Advantage is minimal pain, no bleeding and good healing process without purulence. This method can be used in adults as well as in small children. The best period to have the ears pierced for babies is after the first vaccination i.e. three months and older.
