Education

Docent Měšťák graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University, Prague.

After receiving the certificate in general surgery he worked for more than 20 years at the Plastic Surgery Clinic of III. MF of Charles University in Prague, where he also took higher doctorate.

He has completed long-term study visits in the USA, Germany, Sweden, Brazil, Norway, Argentina, Switzerland and other countries. He holds many other scientific and societal functions.

Publications

He has published more than 80 expert texts as the author or co-author, and participated in creating didactic materials for medical students, as well as taken part in several research projects for the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic.

Membership

Docent Měšťák has been a member of the Committee of the Society of Plastic Surgery of Jan Evengelista Purkyně for 20 years, a member of a board committee and deputy chairman of the Society of Esthetic Surgery of JEP, a holder of an expert certificate of the same society.

He is also a member of the International Society of Plastic and Reconstruction Surgery IPRAS and the Society for the Use of Lasers in Medicine of JEP.

He is also a member of a working group of the science council of the Ministry of Health of the CR, a member of the accreditation committee of the same ministry and a member of the examination committee for certificates in the field of plastic surgery at the Ministry of Health of the CR.

For many years he has been working as the secretary of the Main Problem Committee of Plastic Surgery of the Ministry of Health of the CR, responsible for science and research.

He holds the Memorial Medal for Merit for development of plastic surgery in Slovakia and holds a patent for an invention in the field of plastic surgery. After privatization, he led the Board of Directors at the Institute of Medical Cosmetics in Prague, the oldest health facility in the field of esthetic medicine in the Czech Republic.

Professional experience

Doc. Měšťák is the Head Doctor and co-owner of ESThÉ Clinic. He is also the Chief Physician of the Clinic of Plastic Surgery of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University at Na Bulovce Teaching Hospital in Prague. He is also the Head of the Center for Complex Surgical Treatment for Women with Breast Diseases in the same hospital. He also holds the position of the Head of the Sub-Department of Plastic Surgery in the Institute of Post-Graduate Education in health service.
