OG Group Medical Centre is a private medical facility providing a complex medical care in a wide range of medicine branches, while using the latest medical engineering and therapeutical methods.

Originally, the international medical facility OG Group Medical Centre was founded as a gynaecological-obstetric clinic by Dr. Elena Figurova. Gradually, the facility expanded to the current existence as a modern clinic providing outpatient health care in many medical areas. 

Gynaecology

In gynaecology, we offer a complex gynaecological care, including regular check-ups, treatment of gynaecological disorders, HPV vaccination, counselling for infertile couples, counselling for menopause period, for the use of hormone replacement therapy and/or contraception. We conduct minor and major gynaecological surgery.

Obstetrics

In obstetrics, we provide prenatal care for physiological and risk pregnancies, complex prenatal diagnostics, antenatal courses, complex obstetric and other birth related services (“birth bundle”), including the personal supervision of all types of delivery.

Physiotherapy, balneology and therapeutic rehabilitation

Our team of rehabilitation doctors and physiotherapists treats a broad range of movement system disorders, which mostly tend to be manifested by pain. These disorders include defective posture, high or low muscle tone (especially that of the spinal or pelvic muscles), degenerative diseases and postoperative and/or posttraumatic physical conditions.

Besides pain, the insufficient function of the pelvic cavity results in urinary incontinence, descensus or even splenocele of uterus or vagina, impaired quality of sex life. The exact diagnostics with the use of MYO 200 device is the base for successful therapy.

Pelvic cavity training, along with the practice of correct breathing, form a part of the antenatal courses we have had a lot of experience with, just like with the physiotherapy in pregnancy.

Another cause for backache is the defective anatomy and function of feet. A complex podological examination should provide relief, along with a solution provided by tailor-made arch supporters.

Beside excellent academical background and their “golden hands”, our physiotherapists also have up-to-date instrumentation (such as HUBER, SPA-JET) at their hands, which makes the rehabilitation process more effective.

Internal medicine

In our medical facility, we especially emphasize prevention and treatment of civilization diseases, such as high blood pressure, ischemic heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol levels, overweight and obesity or osteoporosis, the frequency of which is growing with the accelerating speed of life.

We have all the necessary equipment for an early diagnosis and consecutive treatment of these diseases (electrocardiograph, 24-hour blood pressure monitor, test beds for detection of whole range of indicators from blood).

Paediatrics, Neonatology

Our paedeatrician provides complex care, from birth up to the 19 years of the child’s age. She works closely with the obstetricians, especially in terms of information concerning the pregnancy and birth. She conducts preventative check-ups and vaccinations; she treats the common children’s ailments, provides nutrition advisory and assists in resolving educational issues. When necessary, she visits the patients at home and supports the parents in case of their child’s hospitalization. Our paediatricians – neonatologists provide specialized care to newborns and small infants. During the neonatal classes, they explain to the parents the issues related to the treatment of the newborn baby in the delivery room, in the following period spent in the newborn ward and after the release from the hospital.

Dermatolgy

Our dermatologists diagnose and treat skin disorders of both adult and children patients. 

Aided by the digital dermatoscope, our specialist can reveal any risky changes in the skin. If surgical removal of a mole becomes necessary, the follow-up is provided by the clinic of the Vinohrady Teaching Hospital. 

Hair clinic is an integral part of our dermatological care, as hair is one of the most important attributes of the psycho-social functions of the skin.

Corrective and aesthetic dermatology

Corrective and aesthetic dermatology offers the latest methods of care, using the most state-of-the-art technologies DREAM A PEEL (diamond micro-dermabrasion), chemical peeling, injections of botulinum toxin, IPL treatment (photo-rejuvenation), corrective dermatological fill-outs, pain-free removal of unwanted hair (LIGHTSHEER) and the non-invasive ultrasound liposuction (ULTRACONTOUR with the latest U. Lift module).

Endermology is traditionally very popular; it includes cellulites’ treatment (CELLU 6) and a non-invasive mechanical-therapeutical face lifting (LIFT 6), with application of dermatological preparations of high quality.   

Healthy life style, body weight reduction under professional supervision, nutritherapy

Forty years ago, Dr. Blackburn from the U.S. Harvard University proposed a concept of PROTEIN DIETS, in which the body reduces weight to the detriment of the adipose tissue rather than muscle (Protein sparing modified fast), without suffering from hunger. Due to some possible contraindications, this very efficient type of diet must be prescribed by a specialist in human nutrition (doctor, nutritional therapist). The average body weight reduction is 6 – 8 kg a month; it is very common to see the normalization of the blood lipid levels (triacylglycerols, cholesterol) and blood pressure at the patients undergoing the protein diet.

NUTRIPREVENTION and NUTRITHERAPY perceive the patients as whole entities and do not divide them according to the traditional medicinal schemes. They are based on the concept that  quality of diet is a key element of health maintenance; food is supposed to provide the cells with all necessary nutrients as opposed to harmful substances of all kind, with which the manufactured food is literally flooded.

Psychology

Our clinical psychologist provides consultancy for handling of life events, improvement of self-esteem, practice of relaxation techniques, managing new environment and separation from family and friends, partnership counselling, support in professional inter-social relations handling, teaching of stress-handling methods, burn-out syndrome therapy, psychological support for women through pregnancy, after the birth and for young families, techniques to alleviate pain, psychotherapy replacing medication – or the combination of both.

Psychiatry

Our outpatient psychiatric clinic deals with depressions, sleep disturbances, anxieties, relationship conflicts, eating disorders, treatment of serious mental disorders. We can provide all necessary complementary examinations (internal medicine, neurology, immunology, complex laboratory testing) and direct the patients to the inpatient facilities if needed.

Neurology

Our neurological clinic offers a complex neurological examination. If encephalographic, CT or magnetic resonance imaging examinations are needed, these are provided by teaching hospitals. 

Orthopaedics

Our orthopaedic specialist provides full range of acute and elective orthopaedic care for all age groups. Some treatments are rather standard, some are unusual – and some are rather unique in the Czech Republic.

He especially pays attention to ultrasound diagnostics of the movement system, including coxae examination of infants. He provides for operations of hip joints of children and adults, including surgical solution of pre-arthritic conditions of the hip joint with sustaining actions and hip joint endoprosthetics (standard, mini-invasive, mini-resection).

Besides the outpatient treatment, through which the possible surgery is indicated, the care management also includes the performance of the surgery and post-surgical checks, both through hospitalization and through consecutive outpatient care.  

Chinese medicine

The possibilities of using the knowledge of the traditional chinese medicine in common medical practice lay, for example, in internal medicine (chronic fatigue syndrome, EB virus, angina pectoris, hypothyreosis, hyperthyreosis, asthma, migraine, chronic bronchitis, gastric and duodenal ulcer disease, ulcerous colitis, Crohn’s disease, immunity disorders and allergies). In dermatology, it could aid in treatment of psoriasis, eczemas, contact dermatitis or urticaria.

Cooperation with our gynaecologists is also of significance, for example when treating irregular periods, PMS, menopause problems, infertility, ovarian cysts and vaginal mycoses.

In ORL, Chinese medicine is useful when treating chronic rhinitis, adenoid vegetation, repeated otitis and frequent infections of the upper respiratory tract.  

The therapy is conducted with the Chinese herbal remedies or with NAET – a de-allergisation acupressure technique.

Acupunkture is based on the premise that health is only a question of energetic and vegetative balance; thus, a disease is not a simple disorder, but a defect in this balance. It always views the human as a whole entity, affected by the surrounding environment. Acupuncture is one of the most efficient methods of targeted reflexotherapy.
