Training

The single and most important factor in the success of aesthetic or cosmetic surgery is the training and credentials of the plastic surgeon you select. That is the reason you need to know that (some text is deleted) Dr Tejinder Bhatti has been practising plastic surgery since 1996. He received his undergraduate degree from AFMC, Pune in 1985 and went on to complete his Masters in Surgery and thereafter ssuper-pecialized in Plastic Surgery (M.Ch) in 1997.

MCh is equivalent to Board Certification in the speciality in the USA. Atleast 3 years in General Surgery is a mandatory prerequisite for starting training in Plastic Surgery.

Dr Tejinder Bhatti is presently Fellow of the Association of Surgeons of India, Fellow of the International College of Surgeons, Chicago, Fellow of the Association of Surgeons of India and Fellow of the International Medical Sciences Academy. He was appointed Governor for Chandigarh region of International College of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr Tejinder Bhatti's professional accomplishments result from a dedication to knowledge that has frequently taken him around the world to learn the latest, most effective surgical methods in rejuvenative cosmetic surgery, body contouring and hair restoration surgery. Due to his vast experience and standing in Plastic Surgery, he was appointed as Examiner for Board Certification of Plastic Surgeons by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, in 2005.

He is also Teacher & Examiner in Plastic Surgery at The University of Pune and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.

Dr Tejinder Bhatti was elected to the 10-member Governing Council of the prestigious Association of Plastic Surgeons of India in 2007. It is the national regulating body in the field of Plastic Surgery in India. He was Organizing Secretary of the 42nd Annual Meeting of the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India in 2007. Dr Tejinder Bhatti obtained the International Candidature to the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) in 2008 Due to his abiding interest in the field of hair restorative surgery, Dr Tejinder Bhatti founded the IAHRS (Indian Association of Hair Restorative Surgery) in July 2008. For his achievements in this field, he has been invited to the Global Council of the ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restorative Surgery) to represent India in the International Forum.

Dr Tejinder Bhatti’s publications and research are in the field of wound healing and more recently in Cosmetic Surgery. He has avidly presented papers at many national and international meetings.
